1. Widening of Vellayambalam- Thycadu road
The proposal is for widening the road to 21 meters. Land obtained free of cost has been used for effecting widening of the road. Still 200 cents of land is to be acquired for which government has approved land acquisition invoking urgency clause.
2.Widening of Palayam-Pattoor road
The proposal is to widen this road to 21meters.First stage of widening is completed using government land. Acquisition of about 100 cents of private land is progress.
3.Widening of nandavanam road
The proposal is to widen the stretch between Nandavanam junction and mg road to 16 meters.
4. Karamana-Pappanamcode road widening

Trida has taken up the construction of a multi storied (ground + eight floors) residential apartments near Medical College containing 52 flats (18, 2-bed room units and 34, three bed room units). provision is also made for clinics and accessories also. sufficient number of car parking facilities is also provided.

TRDA OWN PROJECTS
1. CONSTRUCTION OF ‘A’ BLOCK AT PALAYAM, THIRUVANANTHAPURAM
‘A’ block is going to be constructed in TRIDA’s own land having an area of 85 cents at Palayam, behind Saphallyam Complex. The proposal is for the construction of a multi level Parking Plaza cum Commercial Complex. The proposed plinth area of the building is 20,000 sq.m. Floor area of 9,500 sq.m is proposed for parking purpose and 5400 sq.m is proposed or commercial purpose. The proposed parking area can occupy 300 cars at a time. The foundation is designed for a further expansion of three more floors in future to provide more parking space to the public. Administrative sanction is accorded for an amount Rs.35 crores and Rs. 10 crores is already allotted by Government to TRIDA. The execution of the project is entrusted to M/s.Hindustan Pre Fab Ltd a Government of India Agency. The sanction for the same has been obtained vide GO(Rt)No.550/16/LSGD dtd 10.02.2016 works related to the construction of ‘A’ Block has been started after Inauguration on 16.02.2015.
2. CONSTRUCTION OF ‘M’ BLOCK AT PALAYAM
‘M’ block is to be constructed in TRIDA’s own land having an area of 83.50 cents at Palayam. It is planned as a 9 storied building having two basement floors for parking purpose. Two floors are exclusively for rehabilitation of the tenants of TRIDA who were affected by the land acquisition for road widening. Total plinth area of the proposed building is 9400 sq.m. Government has accorded Administrative Sanction for an amount of Rs.21 crores. The mode of execution of the project is direct implementation by TRIDA. The time of completion proposed is two years.To make the project technically feasible, soil test is conducted at site and based on the result structural design has been worked out. The building is planned by considering KMBR and relevant rules. The work has been tendered and work is going to started immediately.
3. CHALAI PROJECT
In the sanctioned Master Plan for Thiruvananthapuram City it is envisaged to develop Chalai area as a District Shopping Centre. At present TRIDA is in possession of about 5.5 acres of land in Chalai area. Construction of multi-level Parking Plaza, rehabilitation block for traders, internal roads, Auditorium and commercial complexes are the components of this project. Proposal for the project for a total cost of Rs. 100 Cr was placed before the Special working group held on 08.08.2014 Administrative Sanction for Rs.15 Cr was accorded Vide GO (Rt)No.2357/14/LSGD dt. 05.09.2014 for the first phase of construction. Project management consultancy for this work is entrusted to M/s.HLL Life Care Ltd. As first phase, construction of commercial complex is about to commence. Vide GO ( Rt) No. 2972/2015/LSGD dt 30.09.2015an amount of 7.7 Cr was released for this project Work related to this project commenced on 02/03/2016.
4. ATTAKULANGARA PROJECT
Government transferred 2 acres of land from Attakulangara School Compound to TRIDA on 30 years lease vide G.O(Ms)No.182/2013/Revenue dt. 03.05.2013. Construction of bus stand, rehabilitation block for rehabilitating traders affected by road widening project, School building, compound wall and gate are the components of this project. Administrative Sanction for Rs.30 Cr. was accorded for this project vide G.O(Rt)No.2357/14/LSGD dt.05.09.2014 and an amount of Rs. 10 Cr was sanctioned. As first phase, construction of school building, compound wall and gate is proposed to be carried out. Vide GO(Rt)No.2972/15/LSGD dt. 30.09.2015 amount of Rs. 2 Cr. was released for this project. Project management consultancy for this work has been entrusted to M/s.HLL Life Care Ltd, a GOI enterprise. Concept plan for bus stand and rehabilitation block are approved. But as court case is pending, the project could not be started. Steps are being taken by TRIDA for getting a favourable order from the Hon’ble High Court.
2.43 Acres of land was transferred to TRIDA from Technopark campus vide GO(Ms)No.29/2014/ITD dt.31.10.2014 and GO(Rt)No.178/2015/ITD dt. 04.08.2015 for constructing Bus bay/terminal, vesting the ownership of the land with Technopark. Bus bay/terminal, Commercial Complex, ladies hostel and parking plaza are the components of this project. Administrative Sanction has been obtained for Rs.12 Cr vide GO(Rt)No.3524/15/LSGD dt.27.11.2015. In addition to Rs.2 Cr already released for land acquisition purpose, Rs.5 Cr is provided in 2015-16 Budget Project Management Consultancy for this work is entrusted to M/s.Hindustan Prefab Ltd., a GOI Enterprise. The work has been started on 10/02/2016.
